Australia, meet Westward Whiskey: award-winning American Single Malt


Westward Whiskey is the highest rated American single malt, founded, brewed and distilled in Portland, Oregon. Inspired by the region’s unique culture, climate and natural ingredients, Westward Whiskey has made its way to Australian shores.

Balanced and bold, the whiskey has just the right amount of spice and sweetness and its unique flavour is achieved through its signature minimalist distilling philosophy. It begins by brewing an American pale ale from scratch, using 100% northwest two-role pale malted barley, ale yeast before being fermented at a low temperature for extended periods.

Afterwards, the fresh ale is distilled twice in custom low-reflux copper pots design to create a robust spirit and transform the fresh beer into whiskey. It is then ages in new charred American oak barrels.

The final product is an elegantly robust and fruity aroma, with creamy vanilla and brown sugar notes. Entry to the palate shows baking spice, lush fruit and sweet malt. The finish begins with tobacco, dark chocolate and leather with a lingering oak sweetness that gives way to stone fruit. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a sleek, elegant bottle.
