The ‘Stubbie’ has been voted the best-looking beer in the world

The Australian Beer, ‘Stubbie’ has been voted the best-looking beer in the world by a panel of judges at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).

Produced by Pinnacle Drinks and available exclusively through BWS and Dan Murphy’s, Stubbie Beer was awarded the Best Label/Graphic Design trophy in the annual awards competition which receives over 2,500 entries each year from over 400 breweries world-wide and celebrates excellence in brewing, beer packaging, design and media.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won this design trophy for Stubbie Beer – a beer that has been so incredibly popular here in Australia for its easy-drinkability and stand-out retro bottle design,” Pinnacle Drinks senior brand manager – beer and cider George Stupart says.

Inspired by the days when shorts were short and mullets were long, Stubbie comes in a traditional stubbie bottle and tastes just like your dad’s beer – only better – smooth, balanced and stubbornly refreshing.

“There is an increasing demand amongst Australian beer drinkers for light, refreshing beers just like the beers of the past – which suit our warm weather and outdoor laid-back lifestyle,” George adds.

“Stubbie with its retro-style stubbie bottle and bold blue and brown colours, captures that sense of nostalgia. It’s a refreshing take on traditional Aussie beer featuring an eye-catching vintage design with a contemporary twist.”

Straw gold in colour, Stubbie is a Kölsch style beer and features an enticing combination of lifted floral and savoury herbal with classic hops character. Topaz hops provide a clove-like spiciness and a light, lychee and tropical fruitiness that ends with a clean bitter finish.
