Athletic Brewing has opened up its ‘Two For The Trails’ grant program to international organisations, including Australia, with up to one million dollars available to selected applicants.

The leading non-alcoholic craft brewer is bringing its highly commended program, Two For The Trails, down under and pledging USD$1,000,000 to a variety of foundations devoted to environmental sustainability and preservation.

The program opened on Earth Day (23/4/2022) and will close on the 4th of June 2022 and it is the largest donation program of its kind in the outdoors and environmental space and in 2021 saw Athletic donate funding to 66 organisations from local community groups to major national corporations totalling USD$1,000,000 and now, Australian foundations are able to apply to receive a grant for their environmental projects.

Named after Athletics’ founder Bill Shufelt’s family tradition of taking two beers to toast post-trail walking adventures, the Two For The Trails program embodies the core values of the Athletic brand and its mission to positively impact the health, happiness and fitness of their community. The old, two beer tradition would later become the percentage allocation for Two For The Trails.

Whether you are a community group tidying up a local park, a beach clean-up initiative, a charity wanting to preserve an area of land, Two For The Trails is open for you to apply!

Any registered not-for-profit organisation with an environmental initiative is encouraged to apply for a grant. While the program is titled Two For The Trails, Athletic are excited to expand further than just trails, to beaches, waterways, parks, urban areas in need of outdoor maintenance and even the construction of new trails, as they strive to make the outdoors available and safe for everyone.

In 2021, entities such as Florida State Parks Foundation Inc. benefited from the Two For The Trails program, as well as international programs such as South West Coast Path in the UK, the country’s longest and best-loved trail.

“With impact-driven causes at the core of our brand, it’s our responsibility and our privilege to work with and support those organisations who protect the spaces that we recreate in and we’re honoured to offer a program such as Two for the Trails that does just that,” Two For The Trails and B-Corp manager Cara Wilsons says.

“It’s even more special to announce the 2022 program is available to our international markets driving home the importance of corporate responsibility in both product and impact programs.”

Applicants of all sizes across Australia can apply for the Two For The Trails program from today through to 4 July 2022. Grantee winners will be announced on 13 July 2022. For more information on Two for the Trails, please visit this link.
