Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC on Battle.net starting 13 November 2020.
The iconic Black Ops series is back for an all-new, next generation experience with COD: Black Ops Cold War – the direct sequel to the original and fan-favourite COD: Black Ops.
It features both single player and multiplayer game modes as well as the COD staple of Zombies.
The single player game mode jumps into the depths of the Cold War, set in the 1980s. It’ll bring players come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet-era Moscow and more.
Multiplayer mode, the main attraction to most first-person shooters is not lacking in the next installment of COD. There will be all the regular online multiplayer modes as well as an all-new zombies mode and the free-to-play COD: Warzone battle royale experience.
Cold War will also boast cross generation crossplay support, letting players play with the previous consoles in the line as well as gain experience for the one account across both consoles or units.
It’ll also have shared progression features with Warzone, adding inventory items that can be used in both titles. Plus, Warzone players will still have access to Modern Warfare content they earned previously, like Operators and weapon blueprints.
Zombies sticks to what it’s good at with the first experience being Die Maschine – an abandoned Nazi research facility that holds dark secrets.
